Broga: Yoga exclusively for men
Although the yoga is a discipline created for men and practiced only by those at the beginning, is now often associate with women and few male members who dare to practice it. Some women considering it, and others find it too difficult, hence arose the idea of creating a variant of yoga exclusively for men: the Broga.
What is the Broga?
First, it should be clear that the Broga is a minor variant or simplified yoga, but a way to practice yoga but molded to traditional male characteristics.
Differences between traditional and Yoga Broga
That is why in this program of yoga for men has focused on combining some traditional yoga postures with stretching exercises that any man would practice in a gym, because it seeks to overcome the difficulty is usually the male body to properly develop all traditional views.
The atmosphere of the sessions is another aspect that has entered the Broga, removing the mystique that often accompanies "yoga feminine" and replacing it with scenarios related to man. Hence a classroom to practice Broga more likes a gym than a place of retreat and relaxation.
And while the ancient knowledge of the chakras and the Sanskrit language are a part of a regular yoga practice, the concepts used Broga much more simple and understandable for the mind, generally less spiritual man.
What is the aim with the creation of Broga?
This new variant of Yoga seeks to attract men to the ancient knowledge of Yoga and benefit you with its properties. Robert Sidoti, one of the creators of this program, says the stress, aging and the effect of physical activity intense reflected in a more accentuated in many men, for whom treatment would be an excellent Yoga.
But given the already mentioned reluctance by men to share a room with women, doing exercises "female", the need to create a variant of yoga for men was evident.
And while the Broga just beginning, the horizons for this discipline seems to be broad, like the clientele of men who ever they're more likely to stretch and perform acrobatic positions without fear or complexities. Now everyone can enjoy the benefits of yoga for health.
