Diet for hormonal imbalance
Hormones are chemical substances used by the body to regulate their physical processes. Whether hormones released by endocrine glands such as the exocrine, balance is vital for the body to function properly because of suffering any change in these levels the body's metabolic processes would be hindered and even damaged.
A good way to prevent and treat this problem is through the diet for hormonal imbalance, which is based on certain foods that have an influence on hormones and that could cause imbalance. For the duration of the diet and as the doctor advised us, it is best to eliminate from our diet.
Causes of hormonal imbalance
Hormones are essential for the body to perform various physiological processes, so that the symptoms that herald a hormonal imbalance also often varied. Anxiety, fatigue, insomnia, poor appetite, irritability and moodiness are some of the most common.
As to the causes, in the case of women, the hormonal imbalance is often associated with problems such as menopause, when estrogen produces less; checked for diabetes, where insulin levels go down considerably or even the poor production of thyroxine and triiodothyronine by the thyroid.
Sugar
Several studies have noted the influence of sugar on sex hormones, identifying that a high intake of fructose and glucose could be harmful to the gene responsible for hormone levels, so that both glucose and fructose should be set aside for this diet for hormonal disorders, preventing eating table sugar, sugary beverages, soft drinks, syrups and other sugary foods.
Alcohol
Alcohol is one of the most destabilizing factors for the hormones and can cause increases in estrogen levels and reduce the level of progesterone during permenopause. Its use should preferably be avoided as long as the diet for hormonal disorders.
Foods to Avoid
But while we have emphasized the sugar and alcohol as major deletions necessary in our diet, there are other foods that should not be taken when treating a hormonal disorder. Some of them are high-fat foods, because they affect hormones, so it would be banned the consumption of fried foods, packaged and processed.
Caffeine is another food to be eliminated without mercy, especially because the use stimulates the adrenal glands and cortisol hormone production, known as the hormone that causes stress.
