Treatment of headache
Headache or migraine is a condition not uncommon. Almost everyone has suffered from headaches at some point but some people can be almost permanent headaches becoming a serious impediment to normal life.
The headache may be caused by many factors and there are many options for the treatment of headache. There are plenty of headache medications are very effective, but most of them have side effects, especially gastro intestinal type.
That's why more and more people are inclined to alternative treatments to combat the headache and migraine. In many cases the problem is caused by mental than physical issues such as anxiety, tension or stress. Some techniques such as yoga, relaxation, meditation, acupuncture or biofeedback can get to bring a final solution, the best.
Food is something we must also see if we suffer from daily headaches, especially if they occur up to two hours after eating. Any food that produces some discomfort, however minimal, can bring us a headache. Avoid spicy foods, alcohol, coffee, chocolate and fried foods.
Many times, detoxification of the body is the best remedy for headaches and migraines. We can take some detox tea for this. One of the most effective is prepared as follows:
- Part of chamomile
- Part of hops
- Middle part of mint
- Half of oats
Pour a tablespoon of this mixture into a cup of boiling water, sweeten with honey and taken two or three cups a day.
Some herbs are used successfully to relieve headaches, use essential oil of lavender, mint, basil, stems of willow and some more. The essential oil is applied in a cold damp cloth on the painful area. Or you can rub on the temples with two or three drops of oil.
